Project Description
Goldberg Legal is a U.S.-based law firm specializing in fighting corporate injustice. The site serves as both a brand presence and a detailed case repository for clients seeking transparency, action, and trust. The problem? The previous developer had implemented heavy custom code that made building new pages extremely difficult.
We were tasked with creating a new Elementor-based site on the same WordPress setup—without disrupting existing functionality. A delicate job requiring strategic planning, code isolation, and pixel-perfect care.
THE STORY
When we stepped in, the website was running on a fragile mix of custom PHP templates, outdated plugins, and hardcoded layouts. The client wanted to modernize and simplify—but couldn’t afford full reinstallation or starting from scratch.
Our mission was to build an entirely new Elementor-driven site while retaining critical custom functionality and data from the old system. The process involved:
Identifying and isolating conflicting functions
Reworking templates to be Elementor-compatible
Preserving legal case archives and SEO structure
Implementing performance and security upgrades
OUR APPROACH
Elementor Integration: Created custom page designs in Elementor without affecting the legacy codebase.
Code Conflict Management: Scoped and rewrote conflicting functions to isolate from Elementor’s DOM and scripts.
UI/UX Improvements: Designed a modern, responsive layout to improve accessibility and engagement.
SEO & Schema: Preserved URL structure and added schema for legal services.
Backup-First Workflow: Implemented site cloning and version control for safe deployment.
